Hi everybody!
I just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm running a stock 89 civic DX, what are some of the cheapest mods that I can start with to increase hp? what's the best combo for intake & air filter?

there is really no cheap mod for a real hp gain. intake, header, and good exhaust (more commonly seen around here as I/H/E) are a good start. all the intakes are pretty much the same.

I had an iceman cai on my 1.5 before I swapped to the 1.6 ZC and it was pretty nice. It didn't really do anything except make noise on the 1.5 because of the dualoint fuel injection. This fuel delivery system does not allow different modifications to work very well. It is really restrictive. If you want you could swap to the multipoint system and then you would start to see gains with the bolt on mods.
